About Women’s Mental Health

The Jewish Women's Group at Hudson River Care and Counseling is a safe, welcoming space where Jewish women come together to offer emotional, social, spiritual, and/or practical support to one another. Grounded in shared Jewish identity, values, and lived experiences, the group fosters connection, mutual understanding, and empowerment through conversation, listening, and community care.

Hudson River Care and Counseling also offers individual, couples, relationship, and marriage counseling.

Women’s Mental Health Q&A

What can The Jewish Women's Group address?

  • Supporting one another through collective trauma
  • Building supportive friendships and a sense of belonging
  • Grief, loss, and life transitions
  • Stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout
  • Aging, menopause, and changing family roles
  • Immigration, relocation, or adapting to new environments

Meeting with other Jewish women, along with a licensed counselor, is one of the best ways to overcome problematic emotions, thoughts, and behaviors associated with your negative experience.

Is The Jewish Women's Group right for me?

To determine which mental health treatment is best for you, the Hudson River Care and Counseling experts discuss your emotions, moods, behavior patterns, mental health history, and history of trauma. They tailor a counseling program that best suits you.

What happens during The Jewish Women's Group sessions?

During the group counseling sessions, you meet with a licensed therapist and other women who have endured different life events. You can discuss emotions, feelings of distress, and ways to overcome the negative effects.

Hudson River Care and Counseling takes a holistic, progressive, and spiritual approach to therapy. You will meet with a support group for an hour and a half weekly for 12 sessions.

Follow up with your women’s group and your therapist as often as needed, and call the office any time with questions.
