Thomas is a licensed Social Worker in the State of New Jersey. He obtained his associate’s degree in human services from TCI College, his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Lehman College, and his MSW degree from Alliance University. He is currently pursuing his PhD in clinical psychology from Walden University.
Thomas offers the integration of Bible scripture and prayer for clients who would like these incorporated into their sessions. His areas of treatment include trauma, depression, anxiety, youth in foster care, parents with autistic children, and religious trauma. He incorporates aspects of his Christian faith—such as prayer and the Bible—for clients who prefer it. Thomas has 21 years of experience in human services, including four years as a clinician. He has worked in various capacities, ranging from a preschool teacher to roles supporting youth and adults on the spectrum and with other disabilities, and has also worked within the foster care system.
Thomas has received training in the following modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Multi-Systemic Family Therapy (MST), and Advanced Behavioral Analysis (ABA).
