Gianna Dicristina

Gianna Dicristina is a Licensed Social Worker at Hudson River Care Counseling. She obtained her Master’s in Social Work degree from New York University’s Advanced Standing Program. Gianna’s extensive background includes working with a wide variety of individuals and ages. She specializes in treating individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger management, behavioral issues, and low self esteem.

Other areas that Gianna is passionate about include effective communication skills, social skills, healthy relationships, family dynamics, self growth, life transitions, problem solving, and bullying. Gianna is also a School Social Worker in the state of New Jersey. Her knowledge regarding the special education laws for students with disabilities has allowed her to help multiple families and students both in the classroom and in the community. She is passionate about special education and ensuring that all students with disabilities receive adequate assessment, resources, and support which will allow them to access their education while receiving the appropriate services in which they are entitled to.

With over 10 years of experience as a therapist and School Social Worker, Gianna takes a warm and compassionate approach which helps individuals grow and obtain the tools and strategies needed to live a life filled with confidence, happiness, and empowerment.
