Mario H. Irigoyen, MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Hudson River Care and Counseling, LLC and in private practice in Englewood, NJ. Born in Argentina and living in the United States for over forty years, he is able to offer a bi-lingual (Spanish), and bi-cultural point of view to those clients not fluent in English.
His areas of specialty include sexual trauma; domestic violence; GLBTQ issues; chronic and terminal illness; bereavement and family crises, treatment of families of returning veterans and psycho-educational groups, utilizing UTAH Strengthening Families Program and Iowa Strengthening Families Program. He has experience treating individuals, families, couples, victims of trauma and PTSD, Ryan White clients, Victims Crime Compensation [VCCB] clients and Violence Against Women Act [VAWA] clients. He has also worked with the Community Change Project with court mandated domestic violence perpetrators.
Mario graduated from Dominican College in Sparkill, NY and holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from New York University’s Shirley M. Ehrenkranz School of Social Work in Orangeburg, NY. He attended a yearlong training in Child Sexual Abuse at Hackensack Hospital’s Audrey Hepburn Children’s House and has completed many hours of continuing education classes with a focus on Post Traumatic Stress Management.
